Tanks for fuel stored outside must be bunded except for:

• Domestic heating oil below 3,500 litres in England and 2,500 litres in Scotland.
• All oils on farms in England.
• Oils on farms in Scotland below 2,500 litres.
• Waste mineral oils in England.

What Material Should I Use?

Our Bunded Fuel Tanks are manufactured from steel or high grade polyethylene. Each has its own merits and applications. Polyethylene tanks are low cost, require no maintenance, are corrosion free, UV stabilised and of a robust construction. Meanwhile steel tanks are designed to withstand the harshest conditions, can be placed on rough and uneven surface without a concrete base, are sturdier, and are more secure from vandalism and theft on more open sites. Steel is also the preferred material for UN rating required for transportation of fuel on the highways.

Quality Guarantee.

Our polyethelene tanks come with a 10 year guarantee and comply with OFTEC Standard OFS T100. In addition to this, all of our tanks are manufactured under BS EN ISO 9001:2000 quality standards and comply to the Environment Agency PPG2 (Learn more about PPG 2). The range of steel tanks are all manufactured to current legislative requirements.

Rapid Delivery.

Polyethylene tanks are dispatched within 10 days of order. Delivery times on steel tanks are stated on each product page and vary from 4 to 6 weeks.

Delivery on polyethylene tanks is only £100 in England.
